Melina Chavarria is a poet and the writer for the comic book series “The Magic Glasses”. She was also the Editor in Chief for a DSTL Arts Publication “Aurtisticzine”. She was inspired to start the zine with co-creator, Tanya Sotelo, to give space for their Autistic children and other individuals like them, to share their talents and creativity.
Jean Marie Munson is a feminist Filipina activist and cartoonist from Guam. She loves using comics as a means to educate and empower those that are underrepresented and misrepresented in comics. She teaches comic workshops all over town and is one of the founders of Plot Twist Publishing. Currently she is a part time professor in the University of Nevada Las Vegas Art Department. Her overall goal is build comic literacy and creativity among undeserved communities.
